History Seminar Poster

Collaborated with another designer at Design Streak to create a poster for a history seminar at Illinois State University. The poster explores Cornelia Sorabji’s identity and her position between Indian and British cultures through Victorian-inspired illustration, silhouette, and Phulkari-inspired patterns. A bold silhouette represents Sorabji, while the vibrant color palette and embroidery elements connect her Indian heritage with her experiences in Victorian Britain. Green Fairy and Book Antiqua combine expressive and historical qualities to support the concept. The design was selected as the final poster from three concepts.
