Social Change Poster

For this piece, I was challenged to select a global issue of personal significance and create a poster that conveyed urgency and awareness without relying on excessive information. I chose to address the issue of waste and its far-reaching impact on the environment, public health, and global communities. The design features a bold, hand-drawn illustration of overflowing garbage, accompanied by the phrase “Look at the Mess We Made.” The composition is intentionally overwhelming, allowing the trash imagery to dominate the space as a visual metaphor for the pervasive nature of the problem. The typography mirrors the organic, imperfect quality of the illustration, reinforcing the message’s emotional weight and sense of collective responsibility. Through this approach, the poster aims to provoke reflection and inspire a call to action toward more sustainable habits.
